About Me

I received my Masters in Social Work from University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2013. Before I began my formal studies, I audited an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) class in 2010 and was immediately captivated by the model. ACT seemed to find a way to operationalize things for the therapy room that I had found useful on a yoga mat over the years- mindfulness, observation of self, non judgment, and valued living. I am passionate about using these tools to help others find meaning and healing in their lives.

Values & Influences

Authenticity, Connection, Compassion, and Skillfulness are just a few of my personal values that guide my therapy.

In addition to ACT, I am influenced by the research of Brené Brown and use her works and writings about vulnerability and shame in the therapy room to assist in the healing journey.
